These 'terror tea towels' were made in 2003 in response to the global and political climate surrounding the US invasion of Iraq. Waffle was evident in politics and the media but is it as absorbent as waffle weave of tea towel fame? Culturally, what is being wiped up, or wiped out, in the race for power?

The works were in an exhibition titled Handycrafts at Object Space, Auckland, New Zealand.
